Winifred Eileen Wallace Amick, 83 of Mesa, AZ formerly of Oak Hill, WV died Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at the Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa. Born on Dec 8 1924 at Huntington, WV the daughter of the late Ervie and Kathryn May Wallace. Mrs. Amick was a retired public school teacher. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters when she lived in Oak Hill and the Red Mountain Community Church in Mesa. Her husband, Ray Samuel Amick, I preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving children, Brenda Kay Piestewa of Tuba City, AZ, Ray Samuel Amick, II of Grand Junction, CO, Martin Wallace Amick of Jackson, TN, Sherry Andre of Mesa, AZ and Paul Tomlion Amick of Payson, AZ and by ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, one step granddaughter and three step great grandchildren. Local survivors include her sister-in-law, Anna Amick Barton. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm on Friday, April 18, 2008 at the Mountain View Memorial Gardens Mortuary in Mesa. Burial will at the Mountain View Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
