Willis Glen Criss, 83, of Harvey Hill, Harvey died Friday, February 11, 2005 at Plateau Medical Center, Oak Hill. Born March 22, 1921 at Harvey, he was the son of the late Glennie Swazy and Annie Wilkerson Criss. Mr. Criss was a retired coal miner from the New River Company having last worked at Siltex Mine at Mount Hope. He was a member of the Harvey United Methodist church and the UMWA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Virginia Haynes Criss; brothers, Evert, Clinton, J.V., Charles and Franklin Criss; sisters, Marie Ayers, Helen Wilson and Glenna Whitney. Survivors include two daughters, Brenda J.(Tom) Kirk of MacArthur and Deanna S. (William) Sulesky of Hilltop; grandchildren, Michael T. Law, William R. Sulesky II, and Christopher Sulesky; great grandchildren, Christopher Law, Nicholas Law, Joshua Sulesky, Cody Sulesky, Brendon Sulesky and Sophie Sulesky; brothers, Carl E. Criss, Sr. of Harvey, Gene Criss of Corpus Christi, TX, and Joe Criss of Hilltop; sisters, June Young of Willoughby, OH, Virginia Thurmond of St. Claire Shores, MI, Lorrie Dilly of Prudence, Rita Evans of Prudence, Carol Horton of Fayetteville, Barbara Anders of Ghent and a special niece, Ann "Dollie" Watson of Harvey. Funeral will be 2:00 PM Monday, February 14, 2005, at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill with Rev. Ronald Sears officiating. Burial will be in Hilltop Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
