William Bruce Shepperd Sr.

William "Bill" Bruce Shepperd, Sr. , 72, of Beckley, WV passed away on Sunday, February 05, 2017.
Born September 21, 1944 at Willis Branch, WV he was the son of the late Walton and Clara Green Shepperd.
In addition to his parents, a brother, Jackie Shepperd; sister, Betty Phillips; and grandson, John David Wilson preceded him in death.
Bill was a member of the UMWA, being a surface coal miner and skilled equipment operator, owning several mines throughout the years. At the time of his death he was doing what he loved, running a D9 dozer..
Those left to cherish his memories include one daughter, Patricia "Skeeter" Kelly and husband, Kenny of Scarbro; two sons, William "Billy" Shepperd Jr. and wife, Lora of Pax and Walton David Shepperd and wife, Amber of Stover; three grandchildren, Kenneth Kelly, Olivia Shepperd and Weston Shepperd; two step granddaughters, Heather Rainey and Carrie Pendergrass; brother Fred Shepperd and wife Pat, of Beckley; two sisters, Zelma Hughes of Amherst, OH and Nancy Hoskins and husband, Harry of Beckley; several nieces and nephews; and his companion, Billie Billups of Beckley.
Funeral service will be on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Chaplin Randy White officiating. Burial will be at Davis - Humphrey Cemetery at Weirwood.
Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Billy Shepperd, David Shepperd, Jack Shepperd, Kenny Kelly, Kenneth Kelly, and William Bailey will serve as pallbearers.
