William Vicente Ripoll, 88, of Oak Hill, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at the Beckley VA Medical Center, Beckley,
Born April 6, 1936, at Minden, he was the son of the late Casto and Elsie (Fridley) Ripoll.
William was a 1954 graduate of Collins High School and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran having served from 1955-1959 as Airman First Class and Machinist and was stationed in Charleston, South Carolina. He was employed for Alvey Ferguson in 1963 as a Machinist, retiring from Litton in 1993 as a Purchasing Agent. After retiring in 1997 he decided to come back to West Virginia to enjoy his retirement where he enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his son, Robert Ripoll; two brothers, Robert and John Ripoll; and two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Thompson and Doloris Davis.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Marlene Ripoll; two sons, William Ripoll (Donna) and Steve Ripoll (Nenita); grandchildren, Steve Ripoll, Jessica Ripoll, Ashley, and Rebecca Folchi; numerous great grandchildren; and one sister, Paquita Sarver.
In keeping with William's wishes, he will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
