William Fred Oxendale

William Frederick "Fred" Oxendale of Oak Hill, WV died on Monday, April 26, 2004 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. He was a retired Masonry Instructor for the Fayette County Board Of Education, Fayette Plateau Vo-Tech Center, Oak Hill. Mr. Oxendale was a member of the Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church, Oak Hill, WV, served in the Merchant Marines during World War II and was a Gideon. Born March 7, 1920 at Minden, WV, he was the son of the late William and Jane Crilley Oxendale. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Tyler Oxendale on March 6, 1990. He is survived by two sons, John Oxendale and Donald Oxendale both of Oak Hill and one brother, James Oxendale of Bolton, England. Funeral Services will be Thursday, April 29, at 11 AM at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill with Father Roy Crist officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity, WV. Friends may call from 6 until 8 Wednesday, April 28, at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill.
