William Terry Massey , 79, of Oak Hill, WV passed away suddenly on Monday, January 18, 2021.
Born April 23, 1941 in Ansted, WV he was the son of the late Jack and Connie Massey and was raised by his paternal grandparents, the late W.S. and Viola Brown.
Terry was a graduate of Collins High School in Oak Hill. During his working life he worked at King Coal Chevrolet, owned Terry's Used Cars and retired as owner/ operator of Interstate Recovery Service and Towing. He continued to work part time at Dove's Auto Sales. He was a long time member of the Oak Hill Fire Department.
He enjoyed Sunday car rides with the love of his life, spending time with his family, and was an avid car enthusiast. Terry was known for helping anyone in need.
Uncles, Bill Brown, Harpo Brown, and Ed Brown; and daughter-in-law. Terri Lynn Massey preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be cherished by his wonderful wife of 19 1/2 years, Robin Perry Massey; daughter, Robin Elaine Massey and companion, Ralph Nady of Scarbro; sons, William Marty Massey and wife, Kim of Fayetteville and Barry Bryant Massey and wife, Leanne of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Brandon (Christen) Massey, Haylee (C.W.) Johnston, Jamie (Cody) Darby, Jordan (Jason) Kessinger, Dylan Massey and Joshua Massey; and great grandsons, Carter and Silas.
He is also survived by brother, Tom Brown and sister, Betty Phillips both of Texas; a host of cousins; and many close friends who will miss him greatly.
Graveside rites and committal will be at 1:45 pm on Friday, January 22, 2021, at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Oak Hill with Pastor Lewis Sanson officiating. Burial will follow.
Pallbearers will be Marty Massey, Barry Massey, Jerry Phillips, Ralph Nady, Josh Massey, Brandon Massey, Cody Darby and Jason Kessinger.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Terri's Tribute, c/o Fayette County National Bank, 1554 East Main Street, Oak Hill, WV 25901.
