William Hickman

William "Bill" James Hickman William "Bill" James Hickman , 95, of Mount Hope, WV died on Sunday, March 23, 2003 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born July 26, 1907 at Welch, WV he was the son of the late David and Margaret Wickline Hickman. He was a retired Electrician for Long Airdox Company and was employed by the New River Company at the machine shop in Mount Hope for 38 years. Mr. Hickman was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God, Beckley, where he had served as Sunday School Superintendent; member of MacDonald-Warren Lodge No. 103 AF & Am. He was an avid photographer and enjoyed woodworking. Bill and Ruby Ash were married on March 17, 1930 and moved to Mount Hope that same year. He was preceded in death by his Sister, Edith Williams Survivors include Wife of 73 years, Ruby Elizabeth Ash Hickman Daughter, Jane Ellen Schnell and husband, Wendall, Toledo, OH Grandchildren, William Schnell, Cincinnati, OH and Sarah Dollarhide, Toledo, OH Visitation will be held at Calvary Assembly of God on Monday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Services will be on March 26, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at Calvary Assembly of God in Beckley. Rev. John Jordan and Rev. John Jordan will be officiating. Burial will be at I.O.O.F. Cemetery., Oak Hill, WV
