William E. Coy

William Edgar Coy,58,of Robson, WV formerly of Scarbro, WV died Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at Plateau Medical Center, Oak Hill after a short illness. He was born December 28, 1946 at Runa, WV, a son of Emogene P. Johns Coy of Scarbro and the late Joseph M. Coy. Mr. Coy was the director of Social Services for Pinecrest Hospital, Beckley with 24 years of service. He attended the Robson Free Will Baptist Church, and graduated from West Virginia State College at Institute. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, James Hornsby. Survivors include his daughter, Andria Beth Coy of Robson; step son, Steve Raynes and Amy and family of Page; step son, Kenny Raynes and Carla of Mossy; brothers, Robert W. Johns and Carol of Fairmont, Gary Joseph Coy of Scarbro, Darrell R. Coy and Shirley of Scarbro; sisters, Dolly Hornsby of Scarbro, Kay Turner and Dennis of Scarbro, Tabitha Coy of Beckley; five grandchildren; ex-wife, Sue Coy of Robson; several nephews, nieces and cousins; mother and father in law, Richard and Frances Settle of Robson; sisters in law, Debra and Stanley Braenovich of Robson, Laura Lilly of Robson; attendants, nephew, Josh Hornsby and friend, Chuck Ragnow. Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill with Rev. Orville Syner officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
