William Ernest "Buzzy" Rhodes, Jr.

William Ernest “Buzzy” Rhodes, Jr. age 82, of Oak Hill, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2013 at BARH in Beckley. Born February 11, 1931, at Summerlee, WV, he was the son the late William E. and Minnie Cody Rhodes. Buzzy was a electrician in the coal industry and a member of the UMWA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcelline Mullins Rhodes, by two daughters, Pamela Rhodes and Nancy F. Thomas; by a son-in-law, Jefferson Lee Davis; by five sisters, Virginia O'Boyle, Estel Matullis, Lorene Duncan, Josephine Rhodes and Genevieve McMillion. Surviving are his daughter, Barbara Bell and her husband Teddy W. of Oak Hill, step daughter, Peggy Davis of Grandview, seven grandchildren, Lori Livengood and husband Nathan, T. W. Bell and wife Regina, Shannon Dixon and husband Jason, “Hard Rock” Thomas and wife Stacey, Jason Rhodes and wife Lori, Jeff Davis and wife Lori and Jerry Lee Davis, 17 great grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Norma Menei, of Mount Hope, Edna Criss and Georgia Fisher, both of Oak Hill and Irene Elkins of Ohio. Also surviving is a son-in-law, Roscoe Thomas of Summerlee.
