William "Billy" Buckner

William "Billy" Franklin Buckner, 57, of Mount Hope, WV died on Monday, February 14, 2005 at his home following a long illness. Born March 25, 1947 in Kanawha County, WV he was the son of the late Haymond and Helen West Buckner and stepson of the late Freda Buckner. He was disabled. Billy was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Survivors include two sons: Billy Buckner, Jr. and William Buckner of Texas; one daughter: Goldie Buckner; six brothers: Haymond "Jabo" Buckner and wife, Pam, of Powellton, Ray Buckner and wife, Judy, of Niles, OH, Mark Buckner and wife, Judy, of Pulaski, VA, Paul Buckner and wife, Debbie, of Mount Hope, Jimmy Withrow of Charleston, Rhondes Withrow of Pratt; eight sisters: Connie Slesinski and husband, Ivan, of Whatcheer, Iowa, Dottie McMillion and husband, Donnie, of Oak Hill, Charlotte Fleming and husband,Jim, of Lehigh Acres, FL, Diana Snyder and husband, David, of Kincaid, Debbie Buckner of Scarbro, Ella Mae and husband, Charles, of Mount Hope, Carmel Campbell and husband, Roger, of Bell, Gladys Sears and husband, Lester of Rich Creek, Va; and by several nieces and nephews Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, WV on Thursday, February 17, 2005, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. Services will be on Thursday, February 17, 2005 at 2:30 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. K.R. Souder officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill WV. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
