William H. "Bill" Moore

William H. “Bill Moore , 72, years of age passed away on Sunday, July 03, 2011 after a long illness. Born February 03, 1939 at Pax, WV he was the son of the late Paul and Hazel Evans Moore. A devoted husband and father, Bill lived in West Virginia all his life, providing for his family by working in the coal mines. Bill was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy McKnight and a grandson, Tyler Moore. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Ida who was also his caregiver. Being heard to say, "you do not leave behind legacies in life, only family" Bill leaves behind five children whom he loved very much. Two sons, Kenneth Moore and his fiance, Connie Miller of Maple Fork and Clifford Moore and his wife, Shellie of Beckley, and three daughters, Susan and her husband, Mike Adcox of Kansas City, KS, Diana and her husband, Jeff Bragg of Odd and of Daniels, his baby girl Gail and her husband, Barry Snyder whom Bill thought of as a third son. Furthering Bill's family, he leaves behind many grandchildren that will miss him deeply. Five grandsons, Alex Bragg of Odd, Kenny Moore of Maple Fork, Will Snyder of Daniels, Cole Smith of Maple Fork and John Moore of Beckley, nine granddaughters, Angel Kinder of Salt Lake City, UT, Kayla Lester and husband, Chad of Odd, Dawn Bhartee and her husband, Mavin "Moe" of Beckley, Mandy Kinder of Beckley, Amanda Moore of Maple Fork, Emma and Abby Adcox of Kansas City, KS and Rachel and Allie Moore of Beckley and one great grandson, Syler Bhartee of Beckley. Surviving siblings include a sister, Anne and husband, Don Toney of Sunny Acres, and brother, Calvin Moore and wife, Ellen of Mount Hope and a brother-in-law, Larry McKnight of Mt. Airy. A host of many family members and friends will join in the sorrow we all feel. Monti and Thumper are beloved pets. Per his request, Bill is being cremated. A memorial service will be on Friday, July 8, 2011 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Valley Baptist Church in South Sand Branch.
