William "Bill" Hinte
September 19, 1924 — October 11, 2015
A devoted husband, father and friend to all who knew him, William Earl (Pawpaw) Hinte , 91, of Scarbro, WV joined his bride in Heaven Sunday, October 11, 2015.
Born September 19, 1924 at Sun, WV he was the son of the late Willie H. Hinte and Rosie Trainor Hinte Kidd.
He was a retired rural route mail carrier for US Postal Service at Scarbro.
Bill was a US Navy veteran having served in the Pacific Theater and was also a former member of the WV National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Patsy Ann Sanger Hinte and their dearest daughter, Melea Hinte Yellets; as well as a sister, May Colvin; and four brothers, Henry Hinte, Chris Hinte, Lyle Hinte and Harold Hinte.
Left to cherish the memories of this good man are his son and devoted caregiver for the past five years, Herbert Hinte and wife, Clara of Scarbro; three grandsons, Gregory Goss of Fayetteville, GA, Michael Yellets of Scarbro and Herbert Hinte, II of Columbia, SC; and three great grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 12:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Ron Sanger officiating. Entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Prosperity. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that you consider a memorial contribution be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley WV 25801
The family would like to give a special Thank You to the staff at Plateau Medical Center and Bowers Hospice House for their care during our time of need.
