William T. "Bill" Evans

William "Bill" Theodore Evans , 82, of Oak Hill, WV died on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Hilltop Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Hilltop, WV. Born June 05, 1929 at Mt. Lookout, WV he was the son of the late James Oscar and Estelle Champe Evans. He was retired from Kroger in Oak Hill with over 40 years service. Mr. Evans was a member of the Fayetteville United Methodist Church. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. A sister, Gay Johnson and two brothers, infant Johnny Evans and Charles Franklin Evans preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Gaye Martin Evans, a brother, James O. Evans, Jr. of Oak Hill and a sister, Frances Loving of Toledo, OH. Funeral services will be on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 1:30 P.M. at the Fayetteville United Methodist Church in Fayetteville with Rev. Clare Sulgit-Horn officiating. Entombment will be at Huse Memorial Park Mausoleum, Fayetteville. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill on Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
