William A. Amick

William Albert Amick, 72, formerly of Oak Hill, WV died Tuesday, November 8, 2005 in a Portland Oregon hospital. Born at Minden, WV he was the son of the late Albert Luther and Freda Virginia Tomlin Amick. William was an 11-year veteran of the US Navy. He was a citizn of the world, having lived and worked throughout in places like Egypt and most recently in Thailand. A sister, Marcie A. Bowyer and a brother, Ray Amick preceded him in death. Survivors include two sisters, Ann Barton of Oak Hill, WV and Drema "Cookie" Barton of Mesa, AZ; one brother, Alvin "Bob" Amick of Greentown, WV and by several nieces and nephews. William was cremated. His cremains will be returned to West Virginia for burial at the Mount Pleasant Church Cemetery in Runa, WV.
