Wayne Allen Powers , 50, of Scarbro, WV died on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Hidden Valley Nursing and Rehab Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born April 24, 1962 at Chantilly, VA he was the son of the late Hobert Henry Powers, Sr. and Hilda Gay Shaffer Powers. He was a carpenter. A sister, Mary Fitzgerald preceded him in death. Survivors include two brothers, Norman Lee Powers of Scarbro and Hobert Henry Powers, Jr. of Bradley, half brother, Thomas Workman of Dumfries, VA and three sisters, Bobby Jo Powers of Arlington, VA, Deborah Jones of Fayetteville, and Patricia Shumake of Scarbro. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill. with Rev. Freddie Davenport, Sr. officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be a Bibb Cemetery at Gatewood.
