Warren Wriston, 77, of Oak Hill, WV died Monday, July 14, 2003 at UVA Medical Center, Charlottesville, VA following a short illness. Born July 5, 1926 at Kingston, WV he was the son of the late John Morris and Ola Bertha Armstrong Wriston. Mr. Wriston was a retired construction engineer. He and Helen moved to Cleveland, OH in 1951 and returned to Oak Hill in 1977. He was a member of the Oak Hill United Methodist Church, the International Union of Operating Engineers and was a World War II US Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Helen Norosky Wriston; a nephew, Tom Darby of Maryland; nieces, Judy James of Oak Hill, Linda Jennings of Fayetteville, Carol Rush West of Charlotte, NC and Lynnanne Conner of Oak Hill. Also survived by several great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 17 at Tyree Funeral Hme, Oak Hill from 6:00 to 9:00 pm and one hour prior to service on Friday at the church. Funeral services will be at the Oak Hill United Methodist Church on Friday, July 18 with the Rev. James Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill with military graveside rites by VFW Post #3110.
