Warren Gilmer Thompson, Sr. 90, of Oak Hill, WV died on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at his home. Born on April 10, 1921 at Harvey, WV, he was the son of the late James Thomas and Mable Austin Thompson. Warren was retired from the nylon and rayon industry where he worked for forty one years. He was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Oak Hill and a veteran of World War II where he served the U. S. Navy. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Lee Wilson Thompson; two sons, Michael Thompson of Oahu, Hawaii and Warren Gilmer Thompson, Jr. of Winchester, Virginia; one daughter, Cassandra T. Frye of Toms Brook, Virginia; one sister Jessie T. Holmes of Montgomery; eighteen grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 7:00 P. M. in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Oak Hill with Elders Leftwich and Carto Crager officiating.
