Wanda Tyree Toney

Wanda Maxine Tyree Toney , 85, of Cirtsville, WV died on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Born April 21, 1925 at Cirtsville, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Lillian Ester Maynor Tyree. Wanda was a homemaker and a member of the Maynor Freewill Baptist Church. Her husband, Nathan Hale Toney, two sons, Robert J. "Rob" Toney and James Nathan "Jimmy" Toney, one sister, Jean Tyree Sutphin and a brother, John Tyree preceded her in death. Survivors include daughter, Lucy Toney Werneke and husband, Glenn of San Diego, CA, three brothers, Roger Tyree and wife, Ramona of Cirtsville, Wayne Tyree and wife, Irma of Ranson, and Harry R. "Pete" Tyree of Beckley, sister, Ramona Tyree Abshire of Cirtsville, and two daughters-in-law, Josephine Toney and Vickie Toney. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Scott Bolen, D.J. Jones, Shannon Werneke, Nicole Werneke and Megan Sentel and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 12:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope. with Rev. Roger Tolliver officiating. Burial will be at Pax Community Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
