Wanda June Pino of Mount Hope, WV went to be with the Lord on November 12, 2017 in her home surrounded by family.
Never one to miss church, it seems fitting the Lord called her home on Sunday morning where she joins those who preceded her in death including her husband Frank Pino, parents Ambers and Josephine Sink, her son Buddy Pino, her sisters Jane Alexander and Joan Bryant, brother-in-law Myron Bryant, her son-in-law Bill Szuch, and her nephew Heath Mason.
Whether you knew her as Wanda, June, or Mrs. Pino you likely knew her as family. You probably had a meal at her home or received one of her chocolate chip cakes. Wanda June was a strong woman who served the Lord and her church faithfully and was a lifelong member of the Mount Hope Christian Church. She worked for 30 years as secretary at Mount Hope High School and substituted for 15 more.
Some of her happiest times were having family and friends gather in her home where she would serve stuffed shells and meatballs. She loved sending cards for Christmas, birthdays, or to anyone hurting.
She is survived by her two daughters, Debbie Pino Szuch and Susan Pino; her grandchildren and their spouses, Carissa and Keegan Divant and Jeremy and Arin Szuch; her sister and brother-in-law Norma and Jack Mason; and many special nieces, nephews, cousins; her life-long friend Patti Barton and other dear friends; and her dog Jack, her faithful companion whom she adored.
There will be a memorial service to celebrate the life of Wanda June Pino on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 2pm at the Mount Hope Christian Church with Minister Dennis Kinzer and Minister Buddy Goins officiating. The church will be open at 12:30 for those who wish to gather with the family.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her memory to cmfi.org/kahoch to support the Hoch family serving as missionaries in Burkina Faso or to the Bowers Hospice House at hospiceofsouthernwv.org.
