Walter West

Walter Everett West, 63, of Gatewood, WV died Saturday, March 3, 2004, at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital after a long illness. He was born at Sanger, WV on November 23, 1941 a son of the late Paul Winston and Winnie Smith West. He was preceded in death by one brother, Bill West and one sister, Martha Yoder. Survivors include four sons, Frederick Winston Burns, David Wayne West, Walter Christopher Burns and Joey Kenneth West, Sr. Grandchildren, Joey Kenneth West, Jr. and LaDonna Winnie West. Five brothers, Harold West, Charles Edward West, Delmas West, Melvin West and James Jacob West; One sister, Deloris "Irene" Hamilton. Services will be Tuesday, March 9, at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill at 11:00 AM with Rev. Bill Menefee officiating. Burial will be in Smith Cemetery, Greentown. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
