Walter Page, 84, of Oak Hill, WV died on Saturday, October 11, 2003 at his home in Oak Hill, WV following a long illness. Born January 03, 1919 at Clifty, TN he was the son of the late Ed and Ova Rackley Page. After being in the Civil Conservation Corps, Mr. Page was a coal miner for 43 years. He was a member, elder and choir member of the Summerlee Presbyterian Church; served on the Summerlee Reunion Committee and Summerlee work camp. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Agnes, Pauline, Helen and Arlie; brothers, Robert and W.M. Page. Survivors include his devoted wife of 63 years, Beatrice Berry Page daughter and son-in-law: Nancy and John Craft of Springfield, VA son and daughter-in-law: Don and Linda Page of Georgetown, KY brother: Jerry Page of Summerlee grandchildren: Brian and Tammy Craft of Ivor, VA; Christie and David Wilder of Ft. Rucker, AL; Stephen and Olivia Page of Georgetown, KY and Cari and Rick Merson of Dunkirk, MD great grandchildren: Joseph Hardy; Brandon Patty; Tyler Page; Brian Craft, Jr. and John Walter Craft and by many cousins, nieces and nephews Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Friday, October 17, 2003, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Services will be on Saturday, October 18, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Diarmuid O'Hara officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park., Oak Hill WV. Pallbearers will be Brian Craft, Stephen Page, Cari Merson, Christie Wilder, Sonny Berry and John Craft. Hospice of Southern WV, PO Box 1472, Beckley, WV 25802 or Summerlee Presbyterian Church.
