Walter J. Karch 76, of Newark, OH died on Tuesday, March 09, 2004 at Carmel East Hospital in Columbus, OH. Born December 03, 1927 at Columbus, OH he was the son of the late Earl R. and Hester O'Dell Karch. He wan an Engineer for Owens Corning. Mr. Karch served in the Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia "Ginny" L. Burgess Karch daughter of the late Paul E. and Mary Luella O'Dell Burgess. Survivors include children: Walter J. (Cheryl J.) Karch, II of Newark, OH Earl R. (Laura) Harsh, II of Lancaster, OH Nancy C. Major of Garfield Heights, OH Sister: Louise Roach of Clumbus, oH Grandchildren: Jonathan M., Joseph W., Daniel E., Emily S. and Jennifer M. Karch; Nathaniel C., Joshua A., Megan J. and James D. Major Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Saturday, March 13, 2004, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Services will be on Saturday, March 13, 2004 at 3:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill. Burial will be at a later date in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill, WV.
