Wade H. Payne

Wade Harding Payne, 86 of Fort Myers, FL formerly of Mossy, WV died on Monday, December 31, 2007 in Fort Myers. Born at Mossy, WV he was the son of the late Samuel Reed and Minnie Burnside Payne. He was retired from the US Air Force after serving 26 years. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Wegmet; two infant sons, Tommie and Hope and his ten brothers and sisters. Survivors include his devoted wife, Dorotha V. Tichenor Payne; two daughters, Priscilla Dale and Sherry Kingsley; four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Pastor Jerry Bush officiating. Entombment will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Prosperity WV with military graveside rites by VFW Post #3110 of Oak Hill. A joint visitation with his son-in-law, Samuel A. Dale, will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Saturday from 12:30 Pm to 1:00 PM.
