Vivian Grant Williams

Vivian Skaggs Grant Williams, 77, of Mount Hope, WV died on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at her home following a short illness. Born August 27, 1927 at Minden, WV she was the daughter of the late Emory and Hester Smith Skaggs. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Pentacostal Holiness Church, Mossy, WV and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. Bergis Grant; second husband, Clarence Williams and brothers, Pete, Buddy and Bob Skaggs. Survivors include son, Bruce Grant and wife, Shirley, of Oak Hill; daughters, Brenda Sue McCracken and husband, Jerry, of Scarbro and Bonnie Berry of Maple Fork; stepdaughters, Carolyn Toney and husband, David, of Bluefield and Mary Ann Coots and husband, Damon, of Ohio; sisters, Opal William of Hilltop and Joyce Skaggs of Ohio; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope on Friday, October 1, 2004, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Services will be on Saturday, October 2, 2004, at 2:00 pm at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Rev. Paul Basham officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity WV.
