Longtime Pax, WV resident, Vivian Ruth Spears Turner, 75, died on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born February 09, 1935 at Tomahawk, KY she was the daughter of the late Francis Marion and Oma Hall Spears. Vivian was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a lifetime member of the Willis Branch Community Church. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Hilltop Nursing and Rehab Center for the care given Mrs. Turner while she was a resident there.. Her husband, Charles Edward Turner and a daughter, Mary Jo Turner preceded her in death. Survivors include one daughter, Loretta Williams and husband, Thurmond of Pax; four sons, Jack Randall Turner and wife, Susan of Pax, Wayne Marvin Turner and wife, Bridgette of Surveyor, Timothy Lane Turner and wife, Laura of Robson and Ira Toney Turner and wife, Gail of Pax; brother, James Spears and wife, Betty of Tomahawk, KY and two sisters, Maxine Blair of Ashland, KY and Phyllis Mollett and husband, Claude of Tomahawk, KY. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren, David, Williams, Sherman Williams, Jeff Williams, Nick Brackett, Amanda Turner, Andrew Gray, Joshua Newsom, Kristina Adkins, Lisa Stover, Danny Stover, Monica Lilly, Erica Lilly and Katie Light and twenty-one great grandchildren. Graveside rites and committal services will be on Friday, June 25, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Pax Community Cemetery with Rev. Dewayne Williams officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Thursday, June 24, 2010 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Nick Brackett, David Williams, Sherman Williams and Jeff Williams will serve as pallbearers.
