Vivian Shrewsbury

Vivian Farris Shrewsbury , 89, of Iron Station, NC formerly of Glen Morgan, WV died on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at CMC Lincoln Medical Center in Lincolnton, NC. Born January 17, 1919 at Scarbro, WV she was the daughter of the late Madison VanBuren and Bessie Stover Farris. Mrs. Shrewsbury was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Jesse Shrewsbury; a daughter, Anne Brubaker; a son, Ricky Allen Shrewsbury and a sister, Mae Farris Shrewsbury. Survivors include four sons, Jesse Shrewsbury and wife, Betty of Vale, NC, Ray Shrewsbury and wife, Sue of Scarbro, Dale Shrewsbury and wife, Goldie of Raleigh and Darrell Shrewsbury and wife, Lisa of Raleigh; four daughters, Eliza Reynolds and husband, Wheeler of South Daytona Beach, FL, Melissa Young and husband, John of Iron Station, NC, Brenda Allen and husband, Clyde of Chiefland, FL and Jeannie Bennett and husband, Dale of King, NC; three half brothers, Jake Farris of Pax, Bub Farris of North Carolina and Charlie Farris of Pax; two half sisters, Liz Farris of Bradley and Pat Farris of Pax; twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren. Services will be on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at 12:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Rev. Tommy Young officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity WV.
