Virginia Lorraine Whaples

Virginia Lorraine "Sis" Williams Whaples, 89, of Fayetteville, WV passed at Bower Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
Born Dec 1, 1926 at Harvey, she was the daughter of the late John and Eva Keyes Williams.
Lorraine was a homemaker, a member of the Jones Avenue First Church of God in Oak Hill and attended the Fayetteville Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ross Whaples, a son, David Whaples and a grandson, William Whaples.
She is survived by two sons, Gary Whaples and wife, Linda of Oak Hill, and Harold Whaples of Fayetteville; and grandchildren, Cory Whaples, Chuck Whaples, Stacey Whaples, Timmy Whaples, and Amy Whaples.
In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Whaples was cremated. A memorial service will be held Wednesday June 29, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Danny Goins officiating. Friends may call one hour prior from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Burial of her cremains will follow at Huse Cemetery in Fayetteville.
