Virginia Thompson

Virginia Cooper Thompson, 90, of Wildwood House, Beckley, WV formerly of Oak Hill, WV died on Thursday, June 02, 2005 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born October 14, 1914 in Fayette County, WV she was the daughter of the late William Thomas and Dovie Mae Akers Cooper. Virginia was retired from Fayette Clinic, Lochgelly, WV with 35 years service. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Oak Hill, WV and was an avid bowler. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Gladys Moses and Eudora Allen. Survivors include one daughter, Rebecca Thompson Hurley and husband, Thomas, of Beckley; two grandchildren, Tara Hurley Tabor of Beckley and Tanya Hurley Vickers of South Charleston and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Saturday, June 4, 2005, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Services will be on Saturday, June 4, 2005, at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Dr. John Sauvage officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV.
