My Garden of Prayer

I searched for you in my garden of prayer,
I searched and searched, but you weren’t there.
And finally, I saw you in front, real close,
The reason for that was you prayed the most.

So I stood there with my head bowed low,
In this throng of people, thousands, I know,
And I said to myself, is there something I’ve missed,
Me way back here and you in the midst?

So as I began to pray, my mind was all blank,
I had nothing to say.
But all of a sudden, I was hardly aware,
I was beside you in my garden of prayer.
