Virginia Price

Virginia Johnson Price, 92, of Scarbro, WV died on Monday, January 09, 2006 at Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born April 21, 1913 at Kenova, WV she was the daughter of the late James R. Johnson and Alma Brumfield Johnson Watts. Mrs. Price was a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church, Oak Hill, WV. She retired as office secretary for Dr. Joe N. Jarrett with 28 years service. Her husband, William Claggett Price, Sr.; a son, James Thomas Moore, Sr. and a grandson, James Thomas Moore, Jr. preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Lewis M. Price of Scarbro, WV and William Claggett Price Jr. of Oak Hill, WV; four grandchildren, Julie Moore, William Claggett "Willie" Price, III, Meribeth Price and Linda Price; two great grandchildren, Brandon Moore and Katie Price. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, WV on Sunday, January 15, 2006, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. A memorial service will be on Sunday, January 15, 2006, at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Diarmuid O'Hara officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 250 Central Avenue, Oak Hill WV 25901 or Fayette Plateau Ministerial Food Panty, 250 Main Street East, Oak Hill WV 25901.
