Virginia Smith Mcintire

Virginia Adair Smith McIntire , 93, of Mount Hope, WV died on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Harper Mills in Beckley, WV.
Born November 25, 1920 at Mount Hope, WV she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Blanie Osborne Smith.
Virginia was a retired insurance broker. She worked with her husband at Whiting and McIntire in Sarasota, FL.
A 1936 graduate of Mount Hope High School, she completed a 2 year course at Averett College in Danville, VA, where later she was an instructor. She completed her Bachelor's degree at Mary Washington University.
Her husband, Samuel McIntire preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra McIntier of Mount Hope; son, Thomas McIntire of Nashville, TN and two grandchildren, Jon Hart of Boulder, CO and Ali McIntire of Nashville, TN
Mrs. McIntire was cremated. Private graveside rites will be held at a later date.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Greater Mount Hope Community Fund, Inc., 211 Bluestone Road, Mount Hope WV 25880 or Bradley Presbyterian Church, 211 Bluestone Road, Mount Hope, WV 25880.
