Virginia Lee Buskus

Virginia Lee Buskus, 89, of Oak Hill passed away and received her wings on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Hilltop Nursing Center in Hilltop, WV.

Born March 28, 1934 in Willis Branch, WV she was the daughter of the late Wilbert Williams and Florence Rhodes. Step father, Lonnie Rhodes.

Virginia worked as a cook for Oak Hill Elementary and Collins High School. She was  loyal and faithful member of over 60 years at the First Brethren Church in Oak Hill. She loved children, animals, and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert "Bob" Buskus., Sr.

Those left to cherish her wonderful memory include her loving daughter, Victoria Copley (Richard) of Beckley, WV; sons, Bobby Buskus, Jr., of Oak Hill, WV, Greg Buskus of Shady Spring, WV, Bill Buskus of Oak Hill, WV, and Timothy Buskus (Cathy) of Oak Hill, WV; 8 grandchildren, Austin Buskus (Brooklyn), Bethany Buskus, Brittany Wolf (Ian), Stephen Buskus, Meredith Gray (Patrick), Jennifer Preece (Kenny), Carolyn Toney (Mike), and Michelle Martin (Robbie).; 12 great grandchildren; step brother, David Rhodes; and a dear friend, Art Lewis.

Funeral service will 11:00 AM on Monday, July 24, 2023 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill with Pastor Bill Keeney officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill.

Visitation for friends will be from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Tyree Funeral Home, Chapel in Oak Hill.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Vernon, Rick Copley, Austin Buskus, Bill Buskus, Bobby Buskus, and Tim Buskus.
