Virgie Irene Bryant Tyler James, age 83, of Oak Hill, WV passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Heartland of Beckley, WV. Born July 23, 1927 at Ballangee, WV, she was the daughter of Philip and Lula Atkins Bryant. Virgie was a homemaker and past employee of White Oak Drug Store in Oak Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell James; by three sisters, Mabel Bryant, Anna Hague and Catherine Bryant and by five brothers, Ralph, Sidney, Herman, Henry and Lowell Bryant. Surviving are her son, Tim Tyler of Greensboro, NC and her daughters, Sandra Tyler and Sharon Day, both of Oak Hill; five grandchildren, Tammy Tyler of Greensboro, NC, Dan Young of Raleigh NC, Suzanna Day, Eric Sizemore and Stephen Sizemore, all of Oak Hill and five great-grandchildren, Jack Shannon and Max Shannon, both of Greensboro, NC, Kiley Sizemore of Oak Hill, Vaden Young of Raleigh, NC and Logan Richmond of Fayetteville. Also surviving is one brother, Roger Bryant and his wife Peggy of Fayetteville, WV. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2010 from the Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill with Pastor Max Benson officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill, WV. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday, August 3, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour of 2:00 p.m. Eric Sizemore, Stephen Sizemore, Jimmy Day, Porter Smith and Rob Bryant will serve as pallbearers.
