Violet A. Mccallister

Violet Adair Brown McCallister, 96, of Scarbro, WV died on Friday, January 16, 2009 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born September 08, 1912 at Kilsyth, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late John Bolen and Sarah Elizabeth Payne Brown. Violet was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and cooking for her family. Her husband, James Albert McCallister and a son, James McCallister, preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Randall Lee McCallister and wife, Teresa of Mount Hope and Dallas E. McCallister and wife, Linda of Covington, VA; one daughter, Margaret A. Pack and husband, Milburn of Danese and daughter-in-law, Paulette McCallister. Also surviving are her much loved eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild as well as very special friends, whom she considered family, Beverly Burnette and Sheila Whitehead. Services will be on Friday, January 23, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Pastor Milburn Pack officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity WV. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Thursday, January 22, 2009, from 6:00 PM-8: 00 PM.
