Violet G. Maynor

Violet Gay Beckelhimer Maynor, 93, of Weirwood, WV died on Thursday, March 24, 2005 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV following a long illness. Born December 03, 1911 at Harper, WV she was the daughter of the late Levi H. and Lori Ann Wilson Beckelhimer. Mrs. Maynor was a member of the Willis Branch Community Church, Willis Branch, WV. She was a homemaker who loved to garden and was a great cook. She had been a resident of Weirwood for 65 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Maynor. Violet was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by six sisters and three brothers. Survivors include two sons, Thomas Ivan Maynor and wife, Brenda, of Pax and French Alan Maynor and wife, Sandra, of Weirwood; three daughters, Georgia Mae Maynor of Weirwood, Myra Kay Crook and husband, Lloyd, of Grandview and Sona June Goode and husband, David, of Beckley; five grandchildren, Kirby M. Maynor, Gergory Alan Maynor, Lisa Good Clark, Wayne Crook and Jeremy Crook; six great grandchildren, Cody, Mykenzee, Holly, Kayla, Colton and Maddox. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope on Sunday, March 27, 2005, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. Services will be on Sunday, March 27, 2005, at 2:30 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Pastor Tom Lilly officiating. Burial will be at Pax Community Cemetery, Pax WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
