Vincent John Figiel, 49, of Mount Hope died Saturday, August 14, 2004 at Raleigh General Hospital after a sudden illness. Born November 17, 1954 at Beckley, he was the son of Jennie M. Solace Figiel of Mount Hope and the late Vincent S. Figiel. He was a senior tax appraiser for the state of West Virginia. Vincent was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Oak Hill, member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th degree and a graduate of Marshall University. He was preceded in death by his uncles, Toney Solace and Mike Solace;and aunt, Mary Fronc. Survivors include several uncles and aunts, Frank Solace and his wife, Irene of Hebron, OH, Henry Solace of Prosperity, WV, Bertha Argenbright and husband, Albert of Columbus, OH, Agnes Acuri of Tampa, Florida, Rosey Clark of Lawrenceville, GA, and Valeria Brown and her husband, Frank of Mount Hope; also several cousins. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 pm Thursday, August 19, 2004 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Oak Hill with Father John McDonough officiating. Burial will be in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Oak Hill, where a Christian Wake Service and Rosary will be held at 7:30 pm
