Verna Conner

Verna Toney Conner of Oak Hill, WV died on Thursday, April 02, 2009 at the Specialty Select Hospital at Saint Francis Hospital in Charleston, WV. Born April 29, 1922 at Dothan, WV she was the daughter of the late Sam and Lottie Bragg Toney. Verna was a homemaker and attended the Dothan Community Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Conner and was the last surviving member of her eight brothers and sisters. Surviving is her only son, Bobby L. Conner of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday April 5, 2009 at the Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill, with Pastor Lum Toney officiating. Entombment will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Oak Hill. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to services on Sunday. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
