Valeria Regina Figiel Brown , 92, of Mount Hope, WV died on Friday, May 29, 2015 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV.
Born August 07, 1922 at Scarbro, WV she was the daughter of the late John and Regina Lagosz Figiel.
Valeria was a graduate of SS Peter and Paul Catholic School in 1937 and attended Oak Hill High School. She was a homemaker.
As a life long member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Oak Hill she knew, loved and lived her Catholic faith. Of everything, faith is the most important.
The family extends their thanks to her doctors, their staffs and many friends.
Her husband of 64 years, Frank Preston Brown, Sr. preceded her in death and as the last surviving member of her immediate family she was also preceded by a sister, Mary Fronc and a brother, Vincent Figiel..
Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy A. Porter of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Barbara V. Bennett of Goldsboro, NC and Regina A. Brown of Summersvillle; three sons, John W. Brown of Beckley, Thomas "TB" Brown of Mount Hope and Frank P. Brown, Jr. of Moncks Corner, SC; four grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Oak Hill with Father Carlos Melocoton officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
