Vaden L. Davis

Vaden K. Davis, 71, of Fredericksburg, VA formerly of Dothan, WV died Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at his home. Born September 19, 1935 at Dothan, WV he was the son of Bonnie Coleman Davis of Dothan and the late Vaden Roy Davis. Mr. Davis had been a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and had 42 years of combined service with the Marine Corps and the US government. Additional survivors include one son, Keith Edward Davis and wife, Cindy of Amherst County, VA; his companion, Donna Crabtree of Fredericksburg, VA and her son, Justin Crabtree of Fredericksburg, VA and her daughter, Emily Hill and husband, Aaron and their son, Brayden all of King George, VA; one brother, Roger Lee Davis of Dothan, WV; niece, Amanda McClellan and husband, Max of Raeford, NC; nephew, Joseph Davis of Spotsylvania, VA; a great-niece, Maci Davis of Spotsylvania, VA and a great-nephew, Jacob Hanson of Oak Hill, WV. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 10, 2007 at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Fredericksburg, VA with the Rev. R. Kenneth Brooks officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at the Covenant Funeral Service, 4801 Jefferson Davis Highway, Fredericksburg, VA 22408. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Mary Washington Hospice, 5012 Southpoint Parkway, Fredericksburg, VA 22407.
