Truman Lee Dodson, 62, passed away March 24, 2019 in his home in Scarbro, WV. Truman was born July 31, 1956 in Richmond, VA to the late Elmer and Mildred Dodson. He was preceded in death by his sister Marynell Davis.
He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife Eva Dodson. They were married for 27 adventure filled years. He is also survived by his children , Jonathan Dodson and wife, Kimberly; Christopher Rohan and wife, Megan; Hilary Nicolau and husband, Vincent; Amanda Smith and husband, Austin; Jonathan Rohan and girlfriend, Lisa. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Ava, Evan, Griffin, Zoe, Zane, Carson, Graham, Corbin, Tanya and Lydia. Truman will also be dearly missed by his siblings Larry Dodson and Penny Dixon along with all of his nieces, nephews and their families.
Truman was a retired RN with over 20 years of nursing experience. He was known for his abundant medical knowledge and skilled decision making while working in several fields of the nursing profession. He used his expertise as a nurse later in life while lovingly caring for both his parents and his brother.
Truman was a passionate man with many hobbies and interests. He took a keen interest in genealogy and had a thorough history of his family's heritage. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife, Eva, on impromptu adventures. Everyone who worked on a project with him learned something new and were left with fun memories and stories. His wit and wisdom will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
