Tommy Joe Meredith

Tommy Joe Meredith , 67, of Pax, WV died on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at his home.

Born January 17, 1948 at Kingston, WV he was the son of the late William Russell and Rachel Williams Meredith.

He was a retired coal miner.

Tommy enjoyed watching his birds, spending time with family and friends and watching his grandchildren play. He was a US Army veteran having served in Vietnam.

He was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Meredith, Jr.; brothers, Clarence Meredith, Bucky Meredith and Jimmy Meredith and sisters, Ann Thomas and Rosemary Painter

Survivors include wife, Debbie Ann Craddock Meredith; two sons, Mike Meredith and wife, Karen of Martinsville, VA and Brian Meredith and wife, Becky of Pax; two daughters, Dr. Jody Meredith and husband, Jason of Pax and Meredith Roof and husband, Donnie of Leitchfield, KY; and two brothers, Henry Meredith and wife, Barbara of Pax and Chester Meredith and wife, Glyda of Greensboro, NC.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Brianna Meredith, Cameron Meredith, Michael Meredith, Cassidy Meredith, Danielle Dudley, Logan Blankenship, Landan Blankenship, Lance Roof and Levi Roof; great grandchildren, Madilyn Dudley, Miranda Dudley and Levi Dudley; and god grandchildren, Raegan Breta, Joshua Breta and Raella Breta.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 12:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Rev. Loretta Taylor officiating Burial will be at Pax Community Cemetery, Pax with military graveside rites by Oak Hill VFW #3110. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
