Thomas Toney, Sr.

Thomas "Tom" Lee Toney, Sr., 72, of Dothan, WV died on Sunday, December 04, 2005 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Beckley, WV following a long illness. Born May 07, 1933 at Scarbro, WV he was the son of the late William Joseph and Anna Patrick Toney. Tom was a retired carpenter and a member of Local No. 1911. He was a US Air Force veteran. A brother, Larry D. Toney, one sister, Martha Rose Toney and two grandchildren preceded him in death. Survivors include two sons, Thomas Lee "T" Toney, Jr. and wife, Shawn, of Oak Hill, WV and William Joseph "Billy" Toney, II and wife, Kara, of Rock Hill, SC; three sisters, Marcella T. Manning and husband, Melvin, of Dothan, WV, Glenda G. Adkins of Port Orange, FL and Nancy Ann McMillion and husband, Stanley, of Salem, VA; five grandchildren, Heath and Brian Thomas Toney and Samantha, Megan and Noah Toney and by several nieces and nephews whom he loved. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, WV on Thursday, December 8, 2005, from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM. Services will be on Thursday, December 8, 2005, at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill. Burial will be at Peters Cemetery, Dothan WV with military graveside rites by VFW Post #3110, Oak Hill, WV.
