Thomas L. Kidd, Jr.

Thomas L. Kidd, Jr., 82, of Oak Hill, WV died on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at his home. Born June 12, 1927 at Mullens, WV he was the son of the late Thomas L. Kidd, Sr. and Savilla Maude Bocook Kidd Walker. He was a retired foreman for the American Screw Manufacturing Company who made parts for NASA. Mr. Kidd was a member of the Gentry Baptist Church at Sanger and was a World War II US Army veteran. His wife, Gladys E. Burgess Kidd; two sons, Gary Thomas Kidd and David Leslie Kidd; a brother, Jack Kidd, sister, Betty Seaman and son-in-law, Brian Donald Sherman preceded him in death. Survivors include his only daughter, Linda Sherman; two granddaughters, Melanie M. Prevette and Amber Willoughby and husband, Jerry and great grandchildren, Ashton Nicole, Savanna Lynn and Brian Thomas Prevette and Bailey Brooke Willoughby. Services will be on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Ralph Shupe and Rev. Bill Drennen officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill with military graveside rites by VFW Post #3110 of Oak Hill.
