Thomas G. Kelly

Thomas Gray Kelly , 83, of Prosperity, WV died on Friday, October 22, 2010 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born August 14, 1927 at Thurmond, WV he was the son of the late Jackson and Carrie Anderson Kelly. He he was a retired clerk for the C&O (CSX) Railway. Mr. Kelly was a member of the Red Star Missionary Baptist Church. He served in the US Army during World War II having attained the rank of PFC. His wife, Iris Jean Adkins Kelly, infant son, Jackson Kelly, son, Thomas Michael Kelly and four brothers, Raymond Kelly, Richard Kelly, James Kelly and Melvin Kelly preceded him in death. Survivors include daughter, Katrina Calvert and husband, Terry of Prosperity, son, Kenneth Kelly and wife, Patricia of Scarbro, four grandchildren, Heather Rainey and husband, John of Kilsyth, Nathan Calvert and wife, Emily of Mount Hope, Carrie Pendergrass and husband, Sandy of North Carolina and Kenneth Thomas Kelly of Scarbro and two great grandchildren, Jacob Hines of North Carolina and Amber Rainey of Kilsyth. Services will be on October 24, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill in Oak Hill. with Rev. Randy Sunderland officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park., Oak Hill, WV Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Saturday from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
