Theola G. Johnson

Theola Gay Evans Johnson, 79, of Oak Hill, WV died on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born July 18, 1927 at Hilltop, WV she was the daughter of the late James Oscar and Estelle Champe Evans, Sr. She was a member of the Mount Lookout Baptist Church, Mount Lookout, WV. Gay was a 1946 graduate of Mount Hope High School, a member of the Winolia Chapter #59 O.E.S., Mount Hope, WV and a homemaker. An infant brother, Johnny Evans and brother, Charles Franklin Evans preceded her in death. Survivors include husband, of 56 years, Glen Darrell Johnson; one daughter, Annette Johnson of Oak Hill, WV; two brothers, Bill Evans and James O. Evans, Jr. both of Oak Hill, WV and one sister, Frances Loving of Toledo, OH. Graveside rites and committal service will be on Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Oak Hill with O.E.S. Rites. Entombment will follow. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children - KY, 1900 Richmond Road, Lexington KY 40502.
