Thelma Alma (Plasha) Sprouse

Thelma Alma Plasha Sprouse, 95, of Welch, WV passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at the McDowell Healthcare Center in Gary, WV.

Born March 5, 1929, in Kingston, WV she was the daughter of the late George and Anna Chelnik Plasha.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Welch, and a past member of the Gideons. She was formerly employed at Stevens Clinic Welch.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, John Samuel Sprouse Jr.; and brothers, Frank Plasha, John Plasha, Hank Plasha, Mike Plasha, and Steve Plasha.

Those left to cherish her wonderful memory include her 3 grandchildren, Cynthia Salmons (Roy), Phillip John Sprouse (Brittney), and Michelle Laneave; 3 great grandchildren, Jake Sprouse, Windsor Jalynn Sprouse, and Chase Kenneth Sprouse; and brother, Tommy Plasha.

Graveside rites with entombment to follow will be 2:30 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
