Thelma Goodman

Thelma Elizabeth Fulford Goodman, 90, of Mocksville, NC died on Thursday, January 22, 2004 at Autumn Care of Mocksville in Mocksville, NC formerly of Mount Hope, WV Born November 04, 1913 at Lanark, WV she was the daughter of the late James and Fronia Persinger Fulford. Mrs. Goodman was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She loved going to church, working in her roses and traveling with her husband. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Ersline Watkins and Violet Shildes. Survivors include husband of 68 years, Harry R. Goodman daughter, Carol J. Rogers and husband, Fred, of Mocksville, NC grandchildren, David Rogers of Mocksville, NC and Whitney Rogers of Austin, TX nieces, Margaret Cross and Gloria Davie of Parkersburg, WV Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope on Sunday, January 25, 2004, from 1:00 to 2:30 pm. Services will be on Sunday, January 25, 2004 at 2:30 pm at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Rev. Bill Bennett and Rev. David McCoy officiating. Entombment will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley WV. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Mount Hope Baptist Temple, Mount Hope and Kilsyth Freewill Baptist Church, Kilsyth.
