Thella Joan Mahoney Fitzgerald

Thella Joan Mahoney Fitzgerald, 79, of Henrico, Virginia, died at her home on Tuesday, November 9, 2010. Born March 31, 1931 at Hilltop, she was the daughter of Benjamin Porterfield Mahoney and Cleo Faye Krantz Mahoney. Her husband, Clarence Edward Fitzgerald, preceded her in death. Mrs. Fitzgerald was retired from Reynolds Metals Company in Richmond, Virginia. She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Diane Ferguson of Henrico, VA and three grandchildren Grace Anne Ferguson and Ryan Albert Ferguson of Henrico, VA and Caryn Keesee Marion and her husband, Rocky, of Bumpass, VA. She also leaves her sisters, Charlotte Mahoney Loving and her husband, David, of Fife, Virginia and Donna Gail Mahoney Burke and her husband, Charlie, of Scarbro, her brother Donald E. Mahoney and his wife, Linda, of Amelia, VA, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2010, at Tyree Funeral Home, 999 Jones Avenue, Oak Hill, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Robert Dolittle officiating. Mrs. Fitzgerald will be laid to rest at High Lawn Memorial Park immediately following the funeral service.
