Terry Simmons

Terry Wayne Simmons, 49, of Moundsville, formerly of Oak Hill passed from this life into a new life with Jesus on Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown. He was the son of Mutt Simmons of Oak Hill and the late Mildred Ladoucer Simmons and stepson of Phyllis Simmons of Oak Hill. Mr. Simmons was an employee of Chriss Vending. He was a Vietnam veteran and member of the Middle Grave Creek Church of God. He played baseball and football in Oak Hill and coached Little Leage basebell in Oak Hill and Moundsville. Survivors include his wife, Cheryl "Sherry" Gouldsberry Simmons; children, Bobby and Samantha Simmons of Oak Hill, T.J. Simmons of Beckley, Chris Simmons serving in the US Army, Brett Simmons of Oak Hill and Mindy Simmons Gerringer of Mount Hope. He is also survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Martha Simmons and Chuck and Susan Simmons all of Oak Hill and by several nieces and nephews. Services were held 1:00 pm Friday, January 30, 2004, at Grisell Funeral Home, Moundsville with Pastor James Jones officiating. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
