Teressa “Terri” McCormick, known for her selfless actions and unconditional love for all those around, passed away following a short illness on November 17, 2024. Born on July 12, 1964, she was the foundation of the family, showing such warmth, positivity, generosity, and the undeniable loving spirit that she brought into this world.
Terri will be lovingly remembered by her beloved children, Jennifer Johnston and Samuel McCormick, her grandsons, Bryson, Dominic, Robbie, Silas, and Sammy, her parents Mary and William Worley, her brothers and sisters from both sides of the Shrader and McCormick family, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. With a hefty family tree consisting of both blood ties and bonds formed from the heart, Terri’s reach was as far as it was wide, and she was cherished deeply by many.
Among Terri’s most significant accomplishments was raising her two children and five grandsons, whom she held as her pride and joy. She loved nothing more than a house full of loved ones. She was the first in her family to graduate college, an accomplishment that she was very proud of. She served as Revenue Integrity Specialist at Raleigh General Hospital. Terri was a hard worker and always went above and beyond what was asked of her. Even amidst the challenges life brought her way, Terri never wavered in her compassion for others. She continued to support her family and extend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Her legacy is one of unyielding kindness and generosity. With little to spare, Terri continued to give and help others. Even when sick, she never faltered in caring for her loved ones more than she did for herself. Her life served as a testament to her philosophy, “All things happen as it should, learn and grow from all challenges.” She demonstrated the strength and grace with all challenges brought her way.
A Celebration of Life for Terri will be Sunday, December 1, 2024 from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Pine Haven Cabins, Beaver. All are welcome to join to celebrate Terri with food, smiles, love, and laughter.
Terri’s loss is deeply felt by her immense family and all those who knew and loved her. Her memory will continue to live on and inspire strength, resilience, and generosity in those whose lives she touched.
